Remote wipe: A security feature that allows an administrator or device owner to send a command to a device (such as a mobile phone or laptop) to delete data in case the device is lost or stolen. This ensures that sensitive data on the device does not fall into the wrong hands. Depending on the implementation, a remote wipe may delete data selectively (only data managed by the organization) or do a factory reset that wipes all data from the device.
