COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies): A framework created by ISACA for information governance and management. It is used globally to help businesses achieve strategic goals through effective and innovative use of IT while mitigating risks and managing organizational complexity. COBIT provides a set of generic processes for the management of information systems, each with a high-level control objective, input/output tasks, process controls, and performance measures.
