CSR (Certificate Signing Request): A request for a certificate authority (CA) to issue a digital certificate for a specific entity or purpose. It is used in public key infrastructure (PKI) to authenticate the identity of a person or organization and establish trust for secure communication and transactions. Examples of CSRs include requesting an SSL/TLS certificate for a website or an email signing certificate for an individual.
