Intellectual Property (IP): A legal concept that refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, and images used in commerce. It is used in the protection of intellectual property rights, such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Examples of intellectual property include a software application, a brand logo, and a musical composition.
