There’s been some panic the last few days, with a lot of students reaching out to me thinking the CISSP exam changed in April 2026.
It did NOT.
So, I made this video to explain ISC2’s “Exam Guidance for Artificial Intelligence” and clear up the confusion.
The confusion seems to have started because a CISSP instructor misunderstood ISC2’s AI exam guidance and also misunderstood how ISC2 exam update cycles work.
CISSP exam updates normally happen every 3 years, like 2015, 2018, 2021, and 2024. So based on that pattern, the next real exam update would be expected in 2027, NOT 2026.
