Anonymous Authentication: A method of access where a system allows users to interact without providing any identifying information. This is often used to protect user privacy and is typical in services where user identification is unnecessary, like public Wi-Fi access points or certain online forums and services.

Antimalware Solutions: Software tools designed to detect, prevent, and remove malicious software, such as viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, and spyware. These solutions typically include real-time scanning, threat databases, and removal capabilities to protect systems from infection and help maintain security.

Anycast: A networking technique that allows multiple servers to share the same IP address, with the objective of distributing network traffic and improving availability and performance. When a user makes a request to an anycast IP address, the network routes the request to the nearest or best-performing server based on factors like geographic proximity, latency, and server load. This technique is widely used in content delivery networks (CDNs) and domain name system (DNS) services to ensure fast response times and resilience against outages or attacks. Anycast can also be used to improve redundancy and load distribution in addition to performance and availability.

API Conflicts: Situations that occur when an API does not operate as expected, potentially due to overlapping functionalities, inconsistencies among different API calls, or version mismatches. Resolving API conflicts often requires careful design, testing, and version control to prevent and address these issues.

API Endpoints: The specific points of interaction or communication between an API and the software components that use it. In the context of a web API, an endpoint typically refers to a specific URL where an API can receive and send data. Each endpoint corresponds to a specific function or data resource, and it can accept certain types of requests (e.g., GET, POST, PUT, DELETE in the case of a RESTful API) to perform operations like retrieving, adding, modifying, or deleting data.

Appearance of independence: The perception or appearance that an individual or organization is not influenced or biased by outside forces. It is used in professional settings, such as in auditing, to ensure impartiality and objectivity. Examples include a judge appearing unbiased in a court case, an auditor appearing independent in a financial audit, and a journalist appearing objective in their reporting.
