Examples -resetting a computer's BIOS settings, formatting a hard drive, and restoring a database to its initial state.
- Initiation
Initiation: Initiation in change management refers to the first stage of the change process, where a need for change is identified, defined, and documented. Factors such as new business requirements, system updates, or security vulnerabilities might trigger this phase. The initiation phase includes detailing the rationale for the change, its potential impact, and proposed ways to manage the change. It is a crucial step in highlighting potential risks and in setting the course for a systematic, controlled change process that ensures the system's continued security.

It is used in computer programming and system administration to ensure that only valid and authorized input is accepted by a system or application. Examples -password authentication, captcha verification, and permission checks.

Inputs and outputs: The inputs and outputs of a system or process refer to the data that is received and processed and the resulting output. It is used in computer programming and system design to define the inputs and outputs of a system or process. Examples -user input, system output, and error messages.
