- Insecure direct object access
Insecure direct object access: Insecure Direct Object References (IDOR) occur when an application provides direct access to objects based on user-supplied input. This vulnerability allows attackers to bypass authorization and access resources within the system by manipulating reference values. IDOR can lead to unauthorized data exposure, data modification, or execution of operations with objects such as files, database keys, or URLs.
- Instant Messaging (IM)
Instant Messaging (IM): A form of real-time communication through text transmitted over the internet. IM allows users to exchange messages quickly and is often equipped with additional features, including file transfer, video chat, and presence awareness.
- Instruction set
Instruction set: The set of instructions that a computer or processor can execute. It is used in computer architecture and programming to define the capabilities and limitations of a system or processor. Examples -arithmetic and logical operations, memory access, and control flow.
- Intangible asset
Intangible asset: An asset that has no physical form and cannot be touched or seen but has value to an organization. It is used in accounting and finance to classify and value assets that do not have a physical form. Examples -intellectual property, trademarks, and brand reputation.
- Integrated audit
Integrated audit: An integrated audit is an auditing process that simultaneously evaluates the financial statements' accuracy and the effectiveness of an organization's internal controls over financial reporting. It is particularly relevant in contexts where financial and IT systems are closely intertwined and provide stakeholders with comprehensive insights into an organization's operations.
- Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
Integrated Development Environment (IDE): A software application that provides a comprehensive set of tools for developing, debugging, and testing software. An IDE typically includes a code editor, a debugger, and other tools for building and managing software projects. Examples of IDEs include Visual Studio, Eclipse, and Xcode.
