- Trademarks
Trademarks: Legally registered symbols, names, or logos that identify and distinguish a company's goods or services from those of others. They represent a company's brand and reputation. In the digital world, misuse or theft of trademarks, often through techniques like typo-squatting or phishing, can lead to brand dilution, loss of customers' trust, and financial losses, thus requiring strategies for protection.
- Transitive access
Transitive access: The ability to access a resource through another resource that the user has access to. It is used in access control systems to grant access to multiple resources based on a single permission. Examples -transitive access through group membership in Active Directory, transitive access through role-based access control, transitive access through access control lists in a file system
- Trike
Trike: A risk-based security auditing framework that focuses on modeling systems from a threat perspective. It aims to identify security risks by analyzing the intended behavior of the system and comparing it against potential security threats, thereby informing the development of security measures and controls.
- Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria (TCSEC) (aka Orange Book)
Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria (TCSEC) (aka Orange Book): A United States Government Department of Defense standard that sets basic requirements for assessing the effectiveness of security controls built into a computer system. It provides a metric to evaluate and measure the security properties of a computer system.
- Tuple
Tuple: A tuple is an ordered collection of elements that typically represents a single row in a relational database table. Each element, or attribute, of the tuple corresponds to a column of the table. In terms of security, tuples are significant as database access control policies often regulate operations based on tuple attributes to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Turnstile
Turnstile: A form of physical access control, turnstiles regulate individual entry to secure areas one person at a time, often requiring authentication like badges, tickets, or biometrics. They're used in various settings, from public transit to high-security buildings, to prevent unauthorized access and manage pedestrian traffic flow.
